My worlds often collide… 

I like to write what I know—easiest to be real even writing FICTION. Soooo my characters usual (no Navy Seal experience but I research a lot) have professions I’ve been associated with or done. I have a few artists and galleries in the mix too… I JUST realized MOST or ALL of them are MEN… I’m not sure… ohhhhh no I did have a female one my main character interviewed in Reclining Nude in Chicago (FYI the title is based on a painting)…

This was my original cover for the book and this painting by ME, Fifi Flowers, was supposed to be a painting by one of main characters: Emerson York, famous artist created by me. Ohhhhh, I remember another female painter/photographer character—Lily LaSalle—in my very first book and I used “her” artwork for the original cover ALSO painted by me, Fifi Flowers…

National Sons Day: Son Co-writer

In honor of National Sons Day… I’m sharing books I co-wrote with my adult son: He came up with stories and information and I handled the romance parts… we worked well together and published two…

He also assisted me with two other books but originally they were part of the old Kindle World and they didn’t allow co-writing so his name was not added to the covers but he definitely gave me input with my male characters…

Maybe in the future he will write with me again or at least help me with my future Alpha Detail series books… I have tried to get my younger adult son to give me input but so far he hasn’t been interested but maybe once he’s discharge from the military he will help me out… fingers-crossed! I would love to see his name along with mine on a book too… SAM HAROLD sounds great!

Fashionista Forward

Fifi Flowers created a fictional fashion blog with fictional contributors who are characters in her book in the works: Stealing Hearts. Her main character Chanel Devlin is the editor-in-chief for the Fashionista Forward blog that was originated by Willow Dane, another character in Fifi's Just A Number novel.

Excerpt from  Just A Number

When I was just starting out in my profession, in my spare time, I had tried my luck at being a fashionista blogger. I set up a free website where I wrote and posted photos about anything and everything fashion. It was just for fun, but it started getting hits and followers. Then, businesses began to contact me for paid sponsorships. A fluke turned into a money maker. The bigger it got, the more notice I received, and that was when the big article was written about me.

The published interview brought even more people to my, once little, Fashionista Forward blog and suddenly, I was in need of extra help. Posting for help, some of my devoted blog subscribers volunteered. If they hadn’t, it wouldn’t still be alive today. I’m no longer involved. I sold it to a small group of fashionistas, a few of my fangirls that had jumped in to help. They have been very supportive of my fashion clients. The internet is a powerful tool.  - Willow Dane
